A polite request from a runner - please donโt mock other people attempting to exercise! Whilst doing my warm up exercises this evening before my session when I noticed a group of kids staring at me. Off putting but I ignored it - they werenโt doing anything harmless.

However after what happened even though I moved location I felt so tense and didnโt enjoy my session. For people who maybe struggle to exercise already due to self-confidence, motivation or just simply finding it tough, people mocking you can be enough to make you want to stop.

Running alongside someone or calling things out to you it may be just a joke but for that person it can be quite upsetting, especially when they are doing their best to stay fit. So next time why not instead give that exerciser a smile rather than a smirk. Please #bekind
