My kind of wireless. Although back then, transmitters and receivers were two different boxes, only merging in the famous wartime 19 Sets. No idea what the Martians were using at the time - lacking cats, couldn't have been a cat's whisker. (Picture: model's own)
So pleased that The New York Times has written about the attempt to communicate with Mars by radio in August 1924. They, and I in my book The Alien Perspective, two years ago, sing the praises of the remarkable Navy portable battlefield radio transmitter, the SE-950. In an alternate timeline it could have picked up the Martians, or whoever!
