I thought I was crazy until I found Richard Feynman.
Feynman was not only among the most brilliant people on earth, but he transmitted something I've never seen in others.
Thread with some lessons from his peculiar way of being:
This is one of the most simple and profound graduation speeches.
This 2002 Mr Rodgers speech is a top 10 and it was share to me by @prolificinvent and I just encoded it.
It is my prayer it changes lives into eternity.
This will be in YOUR AI.
I know have 41 hours of Mr. Rodgers interviews ready for encoding into YOUR AI model I am building in my garage.
It was AI that that made the recommendation to mix his emotional stability into new AI models.
I will report my progress.
Okay, I lied about my next thread being API infrastructure for EMRs, but that’s because I stumbled onto something really weird that I wanted to cover first. I saw this tweet (x.com/dvasishtha/status/1552…) about changes to a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) formulary, and I got curious
We need to get back on the Henry Adams Curve. That means recognizing that clean energy production is (a) possible and (b) morally good.
The economy has been virtual for decades in large part *because* the US establishment limited nuclear energy.

Happy to see these updated benchmark results!
DNAscope will output some non-pass variant candidates with a FILTER field set. @holtjma's earlier benchmark considered all variants, causing DNAscope to have a high recall but low precision. The new results are more balanced.
Benchmark updates for today (2021-12-17) containing:
1) PASS-only filtered DNAscope for short-reads (thanks @dofreed for diagnosing the issue)
2) Updated minimap2 to v2.23

This is a good primer on variant calling in long-read space and generally reflects our experience with benchmarking both DeepVariant and DNAscope on PB-HiFi. My one (personal) deviation would be that generally DNAscope has been *much* easier to run out-of-the-box.
A lot of birds are flying over Colorado tonight. You're urged to keep the lights low/off to help them make their passage. #9NEWSx.com/AudubonRockies/status/…
Lights out, Colorado! 12 million birds will be flying over the state tonight and tomorrow night, and we can help them by reducing light pollution. Birds are safer when you turn off or shield your outdoor lights. Learn more from #LightsOutColorado. buff.ly/3EnWzvF

The @signalapp vs @facebook story is remarkable. The biggest threat to @facebook is a non-profit funded by WhatsApp founders! Such a great story. What was Facebook argument for banning these ads? Too much transparency? My favorite prize fight. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signal…
