Both wrong. It's false-frugality time preference sorting. They know that most people who show up expecting the discount won't jump through the hoops to get the discount. Those who do jump through the hoops deserve to be hoop-jumpers.
People believe every Fast Food Chain is offering exclusive discounts in their App because they want to farm your data to sell.
Thatโs wrong. Itโs price discrimination. Older, busier & โlow infoโ customers subsidize younger savvy customers. Itโs the opposite of a Senior Discount.

Okay...seriously...who had one of these in their house growing up?
I remember ours and how we had to search for the closest matching button if we ever needed one.
In hindsight it was ridiculous. We even cut the buttons off of a piece of clothing if we threw it away....just in case we needed the exact button later on.
