Farmland values have risen sharply over the past two decades, yet the thresholds determining eligibility for CGT concessions have remained frozen.
Thatās exposing the next generation of farmers to massive tax bills when the farm is transferred within the family.
Weāre calling on the CGT concessions to rise and have wasted no time spreading the word.

Really appreciative of Minister Settle making the effort to come up to Minyip and sit around the kitchen table and talk all things Ag and regional Vic.
Land use, supply chains, energy policy, housing and regional infrastructure were just some of the issues discussed
Yesterday incoming VFF President @ryan_milgate hosted new Ag Minister Michaela Settle MP at his farm in #Minyip alongside our CEO Charles Thomas and members of our Grains Council.
We outlined the pressing issues facing farmers right across #Victoria and also the opportunities on offer.

Removing more water from ag does not = better for the environment.
Keep the water use in the floodplains, it has environmental benefit.

Probable severe event for Victoriaās major grain production area at its most susceptible stage and Rainbow Radar is down again. Been the case for yrs now. Not good enough, whoās responsibleā¦?
