Listen, I don’t even watch the show but the filmmakers are CLEARLY referencing Hans’ TRUE ROMANCE theme here and eliciting a very specific tone. It’s fun and totally works through that lens.

Nico Harrison's last 5 trades/actions as Mavericks GM: 1) Waived Omax Prosper to create a roster spot for Dante Exum (out for season). 2) Traded Quentin Grimes for Caleb Martin (who only plays garbage time, and has a player option for his last year... while Grimes is putting up great numbers in Philly). 3) Signed D'Angelo Russell (player option for next season) who is a DNP-CD for most of the season. 4) Traded Luka for AD (who earns 60 million per year, has a payer option for his last year when he turns 35, missed 65% of his games as a Maverick, and is now out for the season) 5) Extended Jaden Hardy to a 4 year (6 million/year) deal, who doesn't see the floor unless it's garbage time. If you can name a worse GM, I'd be impressed.

Honestly, no one knows about it to even discuss it, but SKETCH has to be the biggest studio fumble of the year. Phenomenal four quadrant film in the vein of 80’s Amblin. Could have made a bazillion dollars. Anyway, seek it out.
