Returning to this platform *tentatively* with the goal of making this an account that focuses on my areas of research. If you are interested in organizational communication, particularly within churches and other nonprofits, this may be the place for you.

MAJOR BREAKING: Epstein survivors just announced they will release their own list of names. “We know who abused us. We saw who came and went. This list will be survivor-led—for survivors.” The government stalled. Now the victims are doing it themselves.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
SAM ALTMAN: “WE SEE A FUTURE WHERE INTELLIGENCE IS A UTILITY, LIKE ELECTRICITY OR WATER, AND PEOPLE BUY IT FROM US ON A METER.”

Houston now has 18 no-hitters, including PS   That’s the most no-hitters thrown by any club since the Astros’ first season in 1962   The next most by any club in that span is 13, by the Dodgers

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.

Today I was privileged to participate in classroom observations for two colleagues. I am amazed at how far classroom instruction has changed since I was an undergrad. Technological advances are profoundly obvious, but pedagogical growth is very evident.

Requiring people to pay $165 for a passport in order to vote sounds a lot like a poll tax that was eliminated by the 24th Amendment in 1964.

Every year for vday her dad always took her on a date and this year since she was in college, they planned a virtual date where she would fit him when she could. She went out to eat and when she sat down a few minutes later he walked up beside her and said "how about we have dinner together" and she absolutely lost it. THE BEST SURPRISE EVER! What a cool dad! ❤️
