Strongly agree here. More pairing benefits everyone. The senior eng grows, the junior eng learns, and better code is written.
Replying to @GergelyOrosz
One of the biggest stepbacks in the industry related to this from 10-20 years ago is how pairing and pair programming is no longer "cool". It was one of the best ways more experienced engineers taught. Few things beat two people solving one problem, even today, learning-wise.

I look forward to seeing the rest of this series. Testing microservices is a common problem for any team with 10 components.

My dad gave me a Pascal compiler for my birthday in 1981. It opened a new world. A few decades later, I started building stuff on open source - another watershed moment. Today, we’re launching GitHub Copilot, an AI pair programmer. This is the big one: copilot.github.com.

Good long read. “How much sleep do you get per night? When was the last time you worked more than 40 hours a week? Are you happy at your job? These are the questions that most impact software quality.”

Good thread abut what you should be considering when starting a new project.

HOLY TACO, this is the biggest Docker game changer since the introduction of multi-stage builds: with BuildKit, it is now possible to SHARE CACHES over multiple builds! Check out how to do it with pip & #Python: pythonspeed.com/articles/doc…
