Today is the beginning of our moonshot to solve embodied AGI in the physical world. I’m so excited to announce Project GR00T, our new initiative to create a general-purpose foundation model for humanoid robot learning. The GR00T model will enable a robot to understand multimodal instructions, such as language, video, and demonstration, and perform a variety of useful tasks. We are collaborating with many leading humanoid companies around the world, so that GR00T may transfer across embodiments and help the ecosystem thrive. GR00T is born on NVIDIA’s deep technology stack. We simulate in Isaac Lab (new app on Omniverse Isaac Sim for humanoid learning), train on OSMO (new compute orchestration system to scale up models), and deploy to Jetson Thor (new edge GPU chip designed to power GR00T). Announced in Jensen's keynote, Project GR00T is a cornerstone for the “Foundation Agent” roadmap of the newly founded GEAR Lab. At GEAR, we are building generally capable agents that learn to act skillfully in many worlds, virtual and real. See if you can spot "GEAR" in the video ;) Join us on the journey to land on the moon.

This is an essential point people seem to misrepresent.

Innovation is about transformational behavior change. You can‘t transform if you focus solely on analysis of the past.

Replace the question „what should we do?“ with „what might we do?“ It‘s a complete mindset shift 🤩

I got a nice surprise just before the weekend 🤩 along with two sustainable straws. I am glad to know people who care about the future and who discuss together how to make a positive impact not only for HR ;-) @WinfriedFelser

Estimating development efforts becomes even more complex building GenAI products. You need to consider upfront what model to use, what data you have/ need for embeddings or fine tuning and some more. Estimating costs needs a prediction of user interaction to calculate message calls, token consumption and even additional compute power can be factor. Is there something essential I missed? How do you approach these kind of estimates? Do you estimate at all?

I'm following a lot of discussions about productivity especially in the software industry. It's interesting that executives tend to see productivity gains as cost savings. Looking at generative AI opportunities and impacts I focus more on top line impact than bottom line. How do you approach potential GenAI cases?

For me it seems that at the moment things are a lot about emotions. If it is the latest news on @Tesla Model 3 or fancy stuff about GenAI. Getting lost in work these days, there’s nothing better than spending time with my family to stay grounded. That’s what we did at the weekend, with a lot of fun and excitement at a late Saturday evening match on the #betze

Collaboration makes a lot of things a lot easier. Something I learned pretty late when we started.

Signal spotting is one of the most important skills for executives. I mostly use different channels to scan through trends, news and stuff that surprises me. But I think there is bothering more valuable than listening closely to people and actively scan for signals. What do you do to ensure to be aware of the most important signals in your field?

It‘s all about collaborative problem solving these days. For me one of the biggest leadership lessons and more important than ever, not just for leaders.

Hey, my fellow product managers and tech leaders! 🌟 Let's talk about an often overlooked aspect of a product's success: the "non-product" elements that shape the user experience. 📚🖥️📝

(4/4) And here's an interesting twist - this way of thinking becomes even more important when building a platform. The coherence and usability of the platform as a whole matter just as much as the individual products it comprises. 🚀
