75% of the population in rural communities in Cameroon remain without electricity. This means no access to quality education, no access to health care, no access to clean drinking water. Solar systems are fast becoming reliable and affordable alternatives in these communities.

Cameroon has a potential for solar energy generation of over 5 GW and currently, the installed capacity is around 60 MW (just 0.12 %) . Hence there is the need to train local solar actors to contribute in installing the more than 49,000 MW still to be harnessed.
