Good news Ronaldo the footballer is well after collapsing, he has the ICD or the implantable defibrillator , our hospital was the fist in thee SW to implant it in the 1996/7. I was the nurse assisting we did huge numbers , loads of young athletes found a new lease of life & play

We have lost our sense of wonder, we mostly concentrate on the negatives but there have been so many wondrous advances in our lifetime. Before if your heart stopped you died or were left brain damaged. Imagine carrying a piece of machine inside to revive & get the heart going

At the time it felt like a miracle we were all in awe! Now it is regular practice in arrhythmia. The lad who helped with my garden told me he passed out while working ! Made him go to the doctor he ended up with one. Lost a helper but his life was saved . Little wins in life!

Am so sorry my heart breaks to watch Henry Novak ‘s mother trying to control her tears as his father made the statement about his son lying on the floor asking for help and he was being arrested . I can’t imagine how painful it must be to live with knowledge nor ever🥲
