The one thing that really frustrates me about the conversation around remakes is that many completely ignore the fact that there are younger generations who will have a very difficult time playing much older games, as games were differently designed back then

Iโve been gaming since the early 2000s and currently playing through FF7 for the first time, Iโm having a wonderful time but itโs also challanging and I *do* have experience with games from the time, I believe someone much younger than me would struggle a lot more

The fact that these games have such long lasting effects on so many people just shows how much remakes can do, they can make these games accessible to younger people who donโt wish to invest time into learning gaming mechanics from the 90s
