SAFE token staking is live. Here's everything you need to know. π§΅
Safenet, Safe's new transaction security protocol, is now live in Beta. SAFE token holders can stake today to start earning rewards for securing the network.
π° Stake your SAFE tokens to an active validator's address and earn a share of their rewards. No node required. The validator takes a 5% commission, you earn the rest.

Take this as an opportunity
Migrate your funds from your EOA wallet to a 1/1 Safe (simpler and cheaper to move money than revoke plenty of approvals) you can put your EOA as the signer for now
Install @ambire wallet, using a safe with it and doing batch revoke is amazing, also natively support stuff like 7702 so you don't infinite approve stuff anymore.
If you don't own one, buy a hardware wallet, once you receive it, rotate the signer from your EOA to the HW wallet.
Every now and then, feel free to rotate and/or add signers from your safe.
It's not hard, it will make your life better and safer.
Do it today.

Quick note on this: the vulnerability is in two third-party Zodiac modules, not in the Safe protocol, Safe{Wallet}, or the Account Recovery feature.
If you use the Roles v2 or Delay v1.1.0 module, please urgently check your account and disable the module following Zodiac's notice.
The @SafeLabs_ team has been supporting the response with Gnosis, Zodiac, SEAL, and the security community, and I'm personally overseeing the work.

Safe smart contracts, Safe{Wallet} infrastructure & UI are not affected.
Other Zodiac modules and setups are also not affected.
We've been working directly with affected users since identifying the issue. Over 95% of identifiable accounts have already resolved it.

Safe{Research} spotlight π¬
Traditional multisig: more signers = more gas.
FROST signature verification: ~5,600 gas. Whether you have 3 signers or 1,000.
That's 95% more efficient than pairing-based threshold signatures. It matches the FROST standard exactly (RFC-9591), with no EVM-specific modifications.

Six teams are being funded with 500,000 SAFE under SEP-55 to bring staking on Safenet to more platforms and more people: dashboards, an embeddable widget, in-wallet staking, even staking from your AI agent.
