Three years ago Viktor Hovland was 5th in the world and would go on to win the FedEx Cup. His compatriot Kristoffer Reitan was outside the top-2000 in the world and playing on the HotelPlanner Tour.
This week, Reitan is a shorter price than Hovland to win the Canadian Open.

Feels like Marco’s not been able to settle into his rookie year stateside. Becomes a dad, moves his family to FL, son in ICU…then starts to show what he’s capable of at the Valspar, and health issues have derailed him pretty much ever since. Hopefully just a bump in the road. 🙏

Unfortunately, myself and my team have decided that i am going to have to WD from the @usopengolf championship which Im gutted about. My health is the no.1 priority for now and until i get to the bottom of the issues i wont be competing. The plan is to return fully fit. (1/2)

This can only be a good thing. It obviously remains to be seen which players will make the trip, but a really positive step for an event that deserves to be elevated. Kudos to Rolapp & co.

When Will Tony Finau W̶i̶n̶ Qualify for a Major Again?
Spoke to Tony Finau after he came up short of qualifying for the US Open. Sights now set on getting one of the three Open Championship spots via Canadian Open. Feels good about his game but will miss three majors this year after playing 33 in a row. “I can’t go 0 for 4,” he said. “Heading to Canada now. Play to win.”
