I love writing for animation! I'm grateful to do what I love for a living. At the same time, it's undervalued. Animation writers do so much more than just open a blank page and type. We should be paid for all of the work we do to make a script great. #FreelanceNotFreeWork

Writing a freelance script is JUST AS MUCH, if note MORE, work than writing a script while staffed. So why are we making so much less doing it?? Charge for prep work and negotiate above minimums! Studios need to pays us for the work we do. #FreelanceNotFreeWork

Something the WGA is fighting for is minimum writers room sizes. Here's a graphic showing the future if they don't get it. Most @animationguild shows are freelance only, with no minimum room sizes and the writers are suffering for it.

Iâve said this before, we had to fight to get a writers room for Kipo. That was in 2017 & we got it. I had hoped that would be part of a trend of more writers rooms on animated shows but it turned out to be the opposite. We need to save writing as a career. #FreelanceNotFreeWork
