Legendary Su is retiring in October. I think she has been working in the NHS for nearly half a century. @WeAreLSCFT

No reason to insult neanderthals to be honest. We ate them up. Let them be now.

My exact emotion returning back to work from a soul touching long break! This is a snippet of a traditional kathakali performance, where the dancer focuses on expression of specific emotion through facial muscles and eye movements. One of the highlight of the trip.

‘This piece is called ‘She Thinks You’re My Son. It is both a representation of losing my mum to dementia, and my way of coming to terms with it.’ This striking piece of art was shared with us by photographer James from Shropshire, who lost his mum to dementia five years ago.

Just a reminder: you are NOT unusual, weird, or unlovable if you have: - no one to see on Christmas Day, - no presents, or - no contactable relatives. Very few people live the idealised version on TV. Those of us who live differently—whether by choice or trauma—matter as much.

With the passing away of @ZakirHtabla India has lost a national treasure. From the time, in 2000, when he composed the music for my debut directorial venture, ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine!’ to the time in 2014 when he donated the tablas his father, the great Allah Rakha ji had played for two decades on and then he himself had played on for two decades, for an auction for my foundation, Zakirbhai was a great friend, generous to the core, incredibly funny, a cricket tragic, a great raconteur, but most of all, a man who retained his childlike joy and wonder at the beauty the world had to offer. There have been scores of times I have watched open mouthed at his sheer genius on the tabla and while composing. I don’t say this lightly - there will never be another like him, as a man, as a genius on the tabla. The world has lost a great human being. We mourn with his family and loved ones.
