1/ We've acquired @fewsats, the payment infrastructure for AI agents. The industry over-invested in reasoning and ignored access. Models can plan, but the second an agent has to act, there is nothing beneath it. Intelligence without access is a demo.

Agents can think. Agents can plan. But when they try to act they hit infrastructure built for humans. No wallet. No identity. No access. No way to move without a human in the loop. That’s the gap we’re closing.

Huge week for the team @sapiom 1. We partnered with @Mastercard on their new Agent Pay for Machines. Now they close the gap at the settlement layer and we handle runtime, execution, and access. Together, agents can act, transact, and get real work done in production. 2. We acquired @fewsats. Founder, Jordi Montes (@positiveblue2) invented the L402 protocol, the first payment rails built for machines, not humans. He spent years building toward the same belief we hold. This is just the beginning with a lot more is coming over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Excited to share that I’ve joined @sapiom as a founding engineer. We’re building the execution platform for agents in production. If you’re running agents and hitting the limits of what they can do, get in touch.

5/ We weren't looking for an acquisition but for builders who understood that payments cannot be an integration bolted on after the fact. They must be a primitive at the execution level. @positiveblue2 joins @sapiom as a Founding Engineer to lead Payments. Welcome aboard, Jordi and Fewsats!

Replying to @Mastercard
@Mastercard launched Agent Pay for Machines and @sapiom is proud to be the execution layer on top of it. Together, agents can now act, transact, and get real work done in production.
As AI agents begin to act, payments move into the background — at machine speed and massive scale. Today we’re introducing Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines — bringing structure, governance, and trust to this new class of payments. Launching with 30 partners to bring this to life from day one. This isn’t just more payments. It’s a new operating model for commerce. 👉 Learn more: mastercard.com/us/en/news-an…

Our customer @polsia runs entirely on @sapiom. The same output, at a fraction of the cost. Anything that can run on an agent should. The cost ceiling that's been blocking teams from scaling does not exist on @sapiom.

@Mastercard brings the global payment infrastructure, the settlement rails and the trust network that makes autonomous transactions possible at scale. @sapiom brings the execution layer that runs of top of it. We're proud to be building this alongside the teams making the future a reality.

Proud to announce @sapiom is a launch partner on Mastercard's Agent Pay for Machines. When I started Sapiom last summer, "agents paying for APIs" was a weird thing to build a company on. Today it's a Mastercard product line. Machine economy is becoming real infrastructure: continuous transactions, fractions of a cent, settled across cards, bank accounts and stablecoins, no human anywhere. As an initial launch partner, Sapiom anchors the buyer side of this loop. Mastercard provides the network for how machines pay. Sapiom is the control plane for how agents spend. Wallet, budgets, limits, and turning payments into completed outcome rather than just moving money. The smartest model in the world can't do anything if it can't transact. True autonomy requires economic agency and we are enabling it.

Everyone can build an "agent" Almost nobody trusts one in real world apps Sapiom is the platform that closes that gap 🫰

how it feels to manage agents today: is it still running? did it fail? is it waiting on something? queued somewhere? done and i missed it? none of these should be questions Sapiom brings your intent to outcome

This is the gap Sapiom closes. The infrastructure that lets autonomous agents run at scale, for everyone.
The path to truly autonomous agents at scale runs through cheap and abundant intelligence. Today's model prices are fine for a solo builder running a side project, not if you point an agent at millions of users and let it run on its own. That gap is what stands between AI that helps a few and AI that runs the economy.

Agents need more access to be useful and tighter limits to be safe. Those pull in opposite directions. Sapiom is the control plane that holds both. We open up access to compute, intelligence, and services, and cap the runaway cost with smart routing and a harness around every agent. Intelligence uncapped. Spend under control.

what would you build if you could be doing 10x more for the same cost?
