I am so proud to be a part of Working Girls Press's latest anthology, and I’m fangirling over the talented people who wrote our blurbs! I wrote 4 essays in this collection, and they are certainly the most personal pieces I’ve published. I’m anxiously awaiting the 5/1/26 pub date!

"In Western Pennsylvania, you don’t need a degree in Marxist theory to understand exploitation; working-class analysis is passed down like a family heirloom." I wrote about sex work, class, Pittsburgh grit, & @adrierising's new anthology. pghcitypaper.com/columns/pit…

She definitely started making money and rose to prominence more quickly than is realistic but it is easily forgiven. I love seeing a sex working mom portrayed as a genuinely good mother. I can't think of any other piece of media that does so.
Margo has Money Troubles feels like one of the most realistic depictions of how people get into sex work (particularly online), what’s it’s like to live under stigma, and how sex work changes your life that I’ve seen in mainstream entertainment.

I went to a reading for this book today with works by @sapiotextual, @juniperfitz, and Emily Warfield, and I can’t wait to read it even more.
I can’t wait to read adrie rose’s anthology I Hate My Job on Working Girls Press. Thanks to @dozierayanna for the copy.

People saying sex work is “selling your body” really rubs me the wrong way. No one is buying my body - they’re paying for my time, attention and services. I retain my autonomy and don’t relinquish control of my own body

A text from my mom this morning that's so pithy and profound I had to share: Life is actually pretty perfect if you can endure it.

Pittsburgh sex workers: I'm writing a piece on how the draft is impacting work in the city this weekend. Reach out if you're open to talking to me about how it's impacting your business. (Here or email: jessie_sage@proton.me)

it’s important to remember that at any point you can just say what you really feel and ask for what you really want

Non-sexual turn on: Someone who treats every single person in the room like they matter. The waiter. The doorman. The janitor. That’s character.

Yesterday my friend described motherhood as “a beautiful slow moving heartbreak” and I’ve never heard anything more true.

Having adhd means wearing contacts on a day I’d rather wear glasses because I don’t have a clue where I left my glasses.

I've been quiet on here but I've had a lot going on behind the scenes. Finally ready to announce that in the fall I'll be starting a Master of Divinity program at Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago on the ordination track. This has been a long time in the making!

I woke up this morning thinking, “It’s now my birthday month and I’m turning 38.” Then I remembered I’m actually turning 48 😱
