Having spent years running a Southeast Asian expat network of over 150,000 members, I have a unique vantage point on human vulnerability.
This expat demographic inherently attracts non-conformists, systemic skeptics, and individuals with complicated histories looking to chart their own paths; traits that often overlap with the insular, high-stress world of cryptocurrency.
When mental health crises hit, the results can be catastrophic due to a brutal clinical paradox. The core symptoms of paranoia and delusions for the most serious cases cause the individuals to deeply distrust the very diagnostic and treatment frameworks designed to assist them.
In a foreign country, this compounds and triggers a toxic, self-reinforcing flywheel: they reject interventions, burn their localized support networks, and experience a severe, uninhibited decline. Even when 100 people try to intervene, they rely on even one enabler to reinforce their delusions.
This trajectory is further complicated by the comparatively under resourced and underdeveloped mental health field in the region.

With these TBs of trace data to study, we've shipped 2 contract upgrades that reduced gas consumption by 20-60% each.
The one yesterday brought RISEx transaction processing down to ~900μs. Not too bad for fully on-chain orderbooks, but yeah, we will continue to bring it down 10x in the upcoming chain & contract upgrades.
For now, we're so ready to list many more exciting markets. Stay tuned!

An underrated perk of having real & dynamic(*) big traffic is the data.
We've been indexing 3~5 GB of (compressed) EVM traces every hour for insights to optimise EVM execution and contracts design. While we can technically do this on Testnet, data patterns do differ when it's real money!
Our general-purpose EVM is already fast, and this deep data will help us scale it against even specialised execution environments for order books. A 2x gas reduction for large transactions is already pending for the next contract upgrade.
TL;DR @risechain enables @risextrade to be both fast and composable!
(*) Market making adapts to market movements, so we fluctuate between 200~1000 Mgas/s intraday.

🧵 @risextrade Summary on Fully Onchain Perp DEX
1/ Until now, every Perp DEX forced one of three compromises — off-chain matching (edgeX, Paradex, Aster), a single-purpose chain (Lighter), or a dedicated L1 with separated state (Hyperliquid).
2/ RISEx refused the tradeoff. PEVM (Parallel EVM), CBP (Continuous Block Pipeline), Shreds (millisecond preconfirmations), and Based Sequencing together made EVM orderbooks economically viable. Sub-3ms execution, sub-1ms cancels.
3/ The real differentiator isn't speed — it's composability. Morpho, Yearn, and Curve share the same EVM state as RISEx. Position as collateral, collateral as yield asset, hedge in one atomic tx — something even Hyperliquid's HyperEVM can't do.
4/ After running bots myself, the question flipped on me. It's no longer "can a Perp DEX be fully onchain?" It's now: "Going forward, is there any reason to use off-chain matching at all?"
