Elon becomes the world's first trillionaire via an overvalued SpaceX IPO. It allows the billionaires who took Twitter private to cash out after new investors raise the stock price (a pump and dump), and now they're integrating it into indexes so retirees are left holding the bag.

Many such cases!
Unpopular "centrist" Dems give the right endless ammo to effectively use against them, while leftists are so universally appealing that even FOX is scared to attack them, because they keep converting their own viewers.

A data center in Georgia used 30 million gallons of water illegally, and locals only noticed when their water pressure was abnormally low. The data center claimed it was an honest mistake, but locals were told by the town to conserve water while the data center kept running.

RT @DonDavies: It’s sad when Mark Carney governs like Pierre Poilievre.

Unfortunately the @sask_NDP does not 'fundamentally disagree' with building an AI data center right beside Regina! They'd rather agree with the tired, anti-working class @saskparty than agree with the most popular premier in Canada.
Wab Kinew: I reject the idea that we have to be slaves to surveillance capitalism in order to participate in the modern economy.

The headline reads the same as when the Saskparty killed the STC, killing independent living in SK. Public services do not lose money. That money stays in our communities, improving local lives. Private interests prefer to hoard profits overseas. That's the actual lost money!
If we are going to call the cost of public services a “loss,” then Canadian police forces lost $20 billion last year while delivering no birthday presents and also killing a lot of people.

Unemployment rates are artificially maintained. There are always problems that demand work to solve! Our communities and our economy are both suffocated because the majority of our MLAs and MPs work for obscenely wealthy capitalists, who won't lift a finger without Profit.

The Government has a duty to intervene in the economy to serve communities' interests. At the minimum, where the private sector decides a service is not profitable, the Government must fill it! Privatization of human needs, like healthcare, is always disastrous to communities.

2/ C-22 drops the bar for police to "reasonable suspicion," the lowest threshold in Canadian criminal law, and forces your providers to keep a year of everyone's metadata. Michael Geist calls it "a comprehensive surveillance map of virtually every Canadian."

The Plastic Straw fan club wants to talk about pranks on an unaired TV show. This is what the Conservatives want to focus on. But much like the Saskparty, wasting time and $ is the point. They don't want you to know about rising wealth inequality and mass layoffs
Lies, deceit and dirty tricks. The more that's revealed about the CBC smear campaign targeting conservatives, RCMP veterans and just everyday Canadians, the worse it gets. And despite what the Liberals say, if taxpayer money is being spent, someone needs to be accountable.

The health ministry has released a new 1,000-page document with the names, ages and other info, of 52,959 Palestinians killed in Gaza. For the first 100 pages (over 5,000 names), the age is listed at 5 years or younger. The first 18 pages the age is listed as 0 (under 1 year)

Reminder: the Saskparty government sent aid to a country that was committing a genocide. The Sask NDP expressed solidarity with Israel as well. This week Israel violently detained and victimized Canadian citizens. And the saskparty has not, and likely will not, condemn it.
Spoke with Canadian FM @AnitaAnandMP. I described the sole aim of the extremist, anti-Israel flotilla activists: provocation at the service of Hamas. Just look at the what they did afterwards in Spain, Greece and Austria. Israel will continue to act in full accordance with international law and will not permit any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza. I also highlighted the horrific antisemitic wave in Canada - an average of 19 incidents a day. The Canadian government must take steps against antisemitic incitement and attacks.

The @saskparty is responsible for 75% of Saskatchewan's debt since 2007. Nearly $40 BILLION! And they're hiding even more than that by letting infrastructure break down. ctvnews.ca/saskatoon/article… darrinqualman.com/wp-content…

The @saskparty has tripled Saskatchewan's debt since 2007. They know that there are still publicly-owned assets to be sold off, and they are creating the need to do so. The @Sask_NDP will "reluctantly" do the dirty work if they are elected again, just as they did in the 90s.

AI data centers are going to kill thousands of jobs. And both the @saskparty and @sask_ndp are in favour of it! They're complicit in ushering in the tech that will harm communities across #Sask, including their own supporters! They do not serve the Public's interest.
LEAKED AUDIO: In an all-hands meeting on April 30, Mark Zuckerberg tells employees that he's training AI on them ahead of mass layoffs. "The AI models learn from watching really smart people do things... The average intelligence of the people who are at this company is significantly higher than the average set of people that you can get to do tasks. So if we're trying to teach the models coding, for example, then having people internally build tools or solve tasks that help teach the model how to code, we think is going to dramatically increase our model's coding ability faster than what others in the industry have the capability to do, who don't have thousands and thousands of extremely strong engineers at their company."
