Muhoozi keeps doing more because you have showed him that he can do something and get away with it without any consequences. The more impunity people get away with, the more impunity they commit.

Why don't Advocates temporarily boycott Court? It's high time we learnt where everyone stands on these matters! And only a fool will think that what's happened to Erias Lukwago is too far away to happen to him in the middle of executing their own professional duties!

Can't pray for your safety; your abductors certainly haven't taken you to keep you safe. But I pray that you survive the ordeal and come back in one piece! #FreeEriasLukwago

Women in the struggle know the pain of sleepless nights and the fear that grips a mother’s heart searching for answers from a system that never provides them. The late Monica and The late Sarah carried that agony with dignity and admirable strength as they waited for justice that never came until they lost their own lives. These two are a symbol of mothers, wives who refuse to forget their loved ones and who fight with courage. May their courage live with in us all and may it live on forever!

Well said. Saha was only proving Physics' Law of Conservation of Energy: energy can't be destroyed, it just changes form. The energy here being the pain accumulated over decades of oppression. The more the regime has tried to block critical speech, the more it has multiplied.
There is so much EMOTIONAL TURBULENCE exhibited here. But as a SOCIETY/COUNTRY; are we CAPABLE, or even INTERESTED to process this EMOTION? So that we can be able to acknowledge the problem which needs to be solved? OR WE DON'T CARE? Because few understand that, under this OVERT ANGER, in most cases, hides very deep feelings of GRIEF, of FEAR, of a VULNERABLE People feeling POWERLESS and craving for ANSWERS..... How do we heal a Country so DIVIDED and ANGRY?

There is a kind of homesickness that only those who have stayed abroad for an extended period of time can truly understand. But there is a far worse kind of homesickness for those who long for home but cannot return because of the guaranteed persecution awaiting them!

Injustice Emmanuel Baguma declared at the last @kizzabesigye1 court sitting that only the elderly, VIPs, and relatives of the accused could enter the court premises, citing "limited space." Baguma’s directive ironically followed a complaint by the defense team regarding state agents blocking, beating, and arresting supporters trying to access the premises. While the judge creates an excuse of “limited space”, state informers conveniently pack the courtroom , leaving virtually no space for Besigye loyalists. The contrast in Uganda's judicial system is alarming. When Okello, a universally detested murderer of juveniles in Kasanga stood trial, the state magically found room for over two thousand angry citizens to witness justice. Yet for Dr. Kizza Besigye, a celebrated, treasured, and highly respected national political figure, the state suddenly suffers from a severe allergic reaction to transparency, proving that the court is not actually short on space, but desperately short on the courage to let justice be seen. N.B Besigye & Lutale are set to return to court today. #WerejectBaguma #FreeBesigye #FreeLutale #Freepoliticalprisoners

The contents of this 1764 treatise on criminal justice (public-library.uk/ebooks/24/…) have left such an impression on me that I've ended up reading about the author himself -- Italian philosopher Cesare Buccaria - only to discover that he wrote it when he was only 25yrs!

The Museveni dictatorship will never fall until our resolve to remove it from power becomes stronger than it's resolve to remain in power, and until the actions we take to remove it from power become more effective than those it takes to remain in power.

Yes I remember. That's where all the other mainstream media picked that story from at the time — just like the late Desire Mirembe's. I've been a consistent advocate against mob justice, like I always am about everything else I believe in/against.
Replying to @sasmvn
Coincidentally written by you! Do you remember this case? I was shocked by Ojok's murder in Nkurumah Hall.. I knew him personally from his shop in Wandegeya and had just interacted with him that week. My friend was killed senselessly, just like Sydney was!

How Kampala thieves operate: These criminals move with a well-planned strategy on the streets. In most cases, they work in groups consisting of a woman carrying a bag and several male accomplices acting as backup. Once they identify a target, the woman quickly approaches and deliberately bumps into the person. Suddenly, her bag falls to the ground, or she throws herself down and starts shouting, “Omubbi! Omubbi!” (“Thief! Thief!”). Immediately, her accomplices rush in, pretending to respond to the alarm. They begin searching, harassing, and accusing the victim while checking for valuables. In many cases, they start beating the victim, attracting a mob that joins in without knowing the truth. A friend of mine once fell victim to a similar scheme. Thank God his “Inzikuru” 🏃🏾‍♂️ ancestors watched over him and helped him escape the danger. Otherwise, he could have lost his life. Sadly, this appears to be a growing trend in our country. Even more concerning are allegations that some of these criminals are protected or aided by corrupt security personnel. We must all remain careful and vigilant when walking on the streets, driving along highways, or stopping at traffic lights. Stay alert, be aware of your surroundings, and never rush to judge a situation before knowing the facts. Your awareness could save your life or someone else’s!

I sympathize with him. He's experiencing consequences of the decades-long discrimination the M7 regime has subjected non-westerners to. You can't treat ppl like they aren't part of you and expect them to treat you like you're part of them.

If an ordinary citizen can be taken by the military in broad daylight and they remain missing for years, and "it's okay," an MP can also be taken in the same manner, remain missing for days, and "it's okay".
The whereabouts of Etilu Margaret, NRM's woman MP for Amuria district remain unknown. She was abducted by security operatives on May 23,2026. #WhereIsMargraretEtilu #FreeMargraretEtilu

The DPP isn't withdrawing that application to hide the witnesses against Dr. Besigye "because of the delay caused by the opposition of KB's lawyers to the application," but because the application met impossible odds against lawyers who actually know what they're doing, and against an accused who's willing to go all the way in defence of his rights and beliefs!
