village is such a diet re4 with even more baby-ish puzzles than re4, that at this point it's better to launch re4 x.com/vnillavc/status/206657…

will never understand how people hate on resident evil village, it’s such a good game

it's sooooooo fun going into straight line in the castle where they have multiple doors but only one is open, just don't think about it too much tho oh? puzzle with buttons? have a solution right by your side. literally re3remake shit. oh? the defence section in the house? :/

i guess good game can mean different things for different people, but if re7 at least tried to be like OGs, especially at the start, then village just barely allows you to think and on normal difficulty you don't even ever ran ran out of ammo

Realizing the sheer extent of the larp has me wondering how much those "[old game] barely had any story" takes are from people who only experienced [old game] through a let's play open in a second window while they browsed Twitter

Personally idgaf, but as someone who run bayonetta blog on tumblr for a while, for quite the audience, the amount of shit I got for the obvious gameplay takes, got me thinking half the people were there for the story. In a bayonetta games. x.com/ScyllaJoestar/status/2…

Why are people so mad about others simply watching a playthrough instead playing it themselves? Not in a "you're classist if-" way, but like, what's with the hatred? I literally discovered my love for games from watching playthroughs, especially stuff like Monster Hunter

The amount of debate I had to do for bayo1 combat over bayo2, just because the second game was prettier to look at is astonishing.

This is a wild take, because my first experience with ps1 was a few years after collapse of USSR and then everyone got no money and barely food and yet my mom managed to brought home like two ps1s, I believe x.com/YURlSUSHI/status/20661…

sorry I cant take "larp" gaming discourse seriously cause it's all bs spouted by people who've never had to deal w the fact that having consoles or computers is a privilege some people just don't have

And then you'd just buy discs on sale on some random street market or bother from friends. Sure most of them were pirated, but even with almost no food, this was still available option

I think comparing a game made for less available market with heavy prices for tech versus the actual games that are available everywhere is completely different discussion x.com/i/status/2066475883645…

When I met Troy Baker, I said I LOVED his take on Two-Face in the Arkham games, and I wanted to play Arkham Shadow but I didn’t have a Quest 3. Troy said β€œdon’t waste your money” and insisted I watch a YouTube playthrough because he said it was his best performance yet (it was).

It also run in like 25 fps with all that Nvidia tech. And it's still was completely different experience than watching comps of clips and hidden easter eggs to hear all voice lines

But like. That game was everywhere, on all consoles at the time. I wouldn't say to buy a VR set even to a person who would have money.
