Every second counts in cardiac arrest emergencies. During National CPR and AED Awareness Week, it’s important to remember this simple two-step method that can help save a life: call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest, humming a song like Staying Alive can help you maintain the lifesaving pace. With nearly 70% of cardiac arrests happening at home, hands-only CPR can be just as effective as traditional CPR.

We’re sharing a powerful reminder that preparedness saves lives during National CPR & AED Awareness Week. ❤️ During a volleyball game at Santa Gertrudis Academy High School, a grandparent suffered cardiac arrest. Staff acted fast with CPR, an AED, and a call to EMS, ultimately saving a life. We’re proud to help schools stay ready when every second counts.

Quick response can save lives! ❤️‍🩹 During a community 5K in Atlantic Beach, Florida, a runner suffered sudden cardiac arrest and collapsed on the course. While CPR was underway, Atlantic Beach Police Department officers retrieved an AED donated by the Foundation and delivered a lifesaving shock. The runner made a full recovery and was able to celebrate his wedding days later. As National CPR & AED Awareness Week reminds us, having the right equipment nearby can make all the difference. firehousesubsfoundation.org/…

Did you know? Training just one K9 can cost $10,000 or more. K9s are trusted partners and proven lifesavers. From tracking missing persons to detecting hazards, these dogs are essential to first responders. Many departments don’t have the funding to support K9 units, which is why we’re proud to help provide the resources they need to serve and protect.

Making a difference when it matters most. As wildfires impact communities nationwide, Knox County Fire Bureau in Tennessee has used their granted UTV to fight fires across more than 400 acres, transporting crews and equipment into areas no other apparatus could reach. It has also provided a much-needed air-conditioned space for firefighters to recover from the heat of the forest. A heartfelt thank you to all first responders who continue to show up and protect our communities every day.
