We still live in a free country so when states like California and Washington treat their best entrepreneurs like evil piggy banks they can simply up and leave, going to places that welcome them, like Florida, Texas, New Hampshire and others.
These other states also aren't suffering from catastrophic fiscal mismanagement and rampant welfare fraud, so their taxes can be commensurately lower (zero income tax in the above states, with New Hampshire also not even having a sales tax!)

Good advice from Luka on best practice for Looker Studio dashboards with BigQuery. Mostly also applicable when using other tools as well!

I have noticed an increasing amount of poor practices floating around regarding connecting #BigQuery with Looker/Data Studio that could cost you.
My top suggestions:
- utilize _table_suffix
- build reporting tables
- BI Engine
- Materialized Views
- Caching

When there is a conversation about KPIs, especially when it’s multiple of them, I think about this game I watched a while ago. Sounders (left) did well on every metric, except the one that mattered (goals scored!)

Advice to make full use of BI Engine and make your queries faster:
Less is more when it comes to data returned—make sure to filter and aggregate as much data as possible early in the query. Push down filters and computations into BI Engine.
