Running a DNS seeder helps nodes sync to the network via the -adddnsseed option, instead of having to copy a list of IP addresses. Bitcoin has 9 DNS seeders, Scash only has 1. SCASH uses the same difficulty adjustment algorithm developed by Bitcoin Cash, which adjusts the network difficulty every block.
