The garden is started! We added okra, cucumber, zucchini, garlic, shishito peppers, eggplant, strawberries and a few different varieties of basil to the mix this year.

St. Margaret Mary in Omaha may be an outlier for the series since it’s “just” a parish church, but it’s the church I celebrate Mass in every week. The interior is gorgeous as well and is worth a visit if you’re in town.

Making dirt! Bin in the back is just about ready to go. The one in the middle needs to work so I’m just stirring it occasionally. Fresh scraps & roughage go in the empty one up front. I’ll start mixing the ready compost into last year’s potting soil and get to planting soon.

St Cecilia’s is the cathedral of my home diocese in Omaha, NE. I would often attend morning Mass there while in OCIA class. Since I wasn’t confirmed as a Catholic in full communion yet, I would instead receive a blessing rather than the Eucharist. 🧶➡️
