My latest video about AI thoughts seems to resonate with many of you.
It’s about what AI has changed for me, why I’ve been building indie apps instead of courses lately, and why my YT channel is changing.
Maybe we’re all figuring this out together.
We just cut the SDK 56 beta 😅
◆ 50% faster iOS builds (precompiled XCFrameworks) ◆ 40% faster cold starts on Android
◆ Expo UI is stable
◆ iOS widgets are stable
◆ expo-router rebuilt from scratch
◆ Inline native modules
◆ Brownfield multi-app support
The obvious themes are speed and stability. But there are a lot of other interesting changes (like Expo Router decoupling itself form React Navigation). Get all the nuance and detail in the changelog below ↓
Something I should do more often:
Just ask AI to easily explain the code & changes.
Been accepting way too much code lately without understanding what's really going on.
Some curiosity goes a long way.
Said it before:
Whenever I come back to @RevenueCat there's something new & great 😍
This time, I can build my paywall with an AI chat AND see a live preview in the RC app on my phone. Wow.
"Pay 2 win."
Every player hates these games.
Every indie dev fears these comments.
And yet here I am, telling you that it’s probably the best way to monetize and actually make money with your app.
Here’s why I still use in-app purchases in my game 👇
