The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) played host to a chess tournament for local primary schools.
Eight Tower Hamlets schools took part, in a teams of six children playing in Canary Wharf.

Great to see this Coventry schools chess activity ahead of the 2026 British Chess Championships. ♟️
Fantastic work by everyone involved.
As part of the build-up to the British Championships, CSC partnered with Coventry City Council, Sports Games, and the English Chess Federation to run a series of tournaments aimed at getting more chess played in local schools.
