A huge congrats to our Science Simplified co-creator, @taylor_psych, for winning the @SSCP_Tweets dissertation award! In true SciComm fashion, Taylor will use the funds to ensure her research findings are disseminated beyond the walls of academia!

This guide was created during a SciComm workshop! Learning to and getting a chance to work on science communication efforts is so important and can be a great addition to graduate program! @JHamiPhD has created a great program at Rutgers. thehamiltonlab.org/scicomm

An awesome resource for anyone thinking about a PhD in clinical psych!
Do you work with undergrads (or are you one) looking to pursue a clinical psych PhD?! This path is complex & NOT at all easy to navigate. That’s why my lab and @sci_simplified @rutgers_psych created a practical guide to make this information accessible! docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Article from @ClaireHoutsma @AllieBond12 & @PsychBrownBag! Storing lethal meds unlocked in a veterinary clinic strengthened the relationship btwn thoughts of suicide and believing one will attempt suicide. Safe storage of meds may help reduce suicide risk among Veterinarians.

Research is amazing. But why do we only stop at pubs and academic conferences? Why not do more? Why not actually communicate our science with the people who we are aiming to help! It can be hard to get started, so here’s some tips with @sci_simplified!
1/2 Grad students can play an active role in #scicomm efforts, but many of us don't receive training and it can feel overwhelming to know where to start. We collaborated with @JHamiPhD to generated some ideas for getting started with SciComm!
