Few things make me happier than student art. My student Avery painted this amazing picture of Roxy for me and I’m completely blown away. It’s definitely going to find a place on my wall. #mystudentsarebetterthanyours
Aerospace Engineering is in our unit on flight physiology. The students are learning about Visual Perception and its importance in aerospace industries and flight. Mr Simpson even got in on some of the action. 👀🚀

I made a little video to help you make a cereal box viewer for the upcoming eclipse. The project takes less than five minutes and you can make it from things you already have around the house. youtube.com/watch?v=uZqlGh4u…
In Aerospace Engineering, we’re studying navigation and I started with the stars and the meaning they had for ancient cultures. They randomly put dots on a page, visualized an image, and write a constellation creation myth. We made s’mores and told stories around the “campfire”.
Aerospace started off our unit on gps and radio navigation with a quick visit to my campus geocache course. First team to locate and record all six locations wins! They built cohesive teams, had a blast, and we all got our steps in for the day.
Aerospace Engineering was building and testing composite structures. Utilizing different weaves of fiberglass and carbon fiber, and molding processes, they had to calculate the moment of inertia and with experimental data, calculate Young’s Modulus for their material and process
A cool challenge I gave my kiddos today. They had to pick a song, get the beats per minute and the calculate the string length to have the pendulum match the beat. Then I had them do “I can’t drive 55”, in honor of my Hagar birthday. Thank you @cossettej
I just had and old student from several years ago text me out of the blue and thank me for turning them on to Depeche Mode. I'm truly doing the lord's work.
