Since I’m still trending, just wanted to take the opportunity to remind our Senate that part of the reason we have 53 Republican colleagues today & not 52 is because of Pennsylvania.
Senator Bob Casey Jr. was defeated by a mere 15,000 votes.
I would also like to remind our Senate that you would have an even greater majority today had you secured our elections years ago.
In 2024, we should have won AZ, MI, NV, & WI.
If you take into account the debacle of the 2020 election followed by Georgia Senate runoff elections, Republicans should have closer to 60 seats.
So, if you pass the SAVE America Act, you will be rewarded with votes & likely bigger majorities.
If you do not pass the SAVE America Act, then I can guarantee that Louisiana & Texas won’t be the last time that incumbent Senators were defeated
— peacefully & respectfully.

I think there's a bit of cognitive bias that being a so-called "moderate" is equivalent to being mild-mannered.
The truth is that politicians like Cornyn aren't moderate; they're institutional. To get accepted as institutional, you have to speak a certain vocabulary and mannerism, and that can be mistaken as mild-mannerism.
The reality is that people who are best fits for institutionalism are power-hungry jerks seeking to climb the money and status ladder. After all, institutions are where those rewards are concentrated. Cornyn is merely showing his true colors now.

This man is Robert Young. My friend and neighbor of nearly 30 years. He married his wife on the steps of Louis Emerson House. Mr. Young is one of my incredible supporters in the race for Phoenix City Council District 8. His endorsement means more now than ever. The house predates statehood and is built of locally sourced sand brick, baked in the open air over a hundred years ago downtown. It is a box house or box cottage, a rare example of territorial style homes. The only others that come close to comparison are in the Presidio in Tucson. Louis Emerson, who built the house, was a local butcher and happened to be a Republican who opposed segregation and anti-semitism in the pioneer days of Phoenix. The house is the pride of the historic Churchill subdivision. EMINENT DOMAIN is a widely abused practice, particularly in the City of Phoenix. This is elder abuse and an outrage. ASU made multiple purchase offers, they’ve offered up to $850,000 for the home. The homeowner keeps refusing. So now they plan to just take the home with eminent domain
If eminent domain goes through he’ll be forced to accept the appraisal price

I had to read this three times before I could believe it was real.
Rotherham. A small town in northern England.
For sixteen years, at least 1,400 children — some as young as eleven — were raped, gang-raped, and trafficked between cities by organized groups of men.
Eleven years old.
Petrol was poured on them so they would stay quiet.
Their families were threatened with death.
Photos were taken and used as blackmail.
The police knew.
