What a day around the NFL. One thing to keep in mind with the Rams making this move: they don’t pull the trigger unless they feel extremely confident in Ty Simpson as the future of the franchise. The selection at No. 13 changed everything for Los Angeles. By landing the quarterback they wanted, the Rams gained the flexibility to be aggressive elsewhere and push more chips to the center of the table. This trade is a direct reflection of how highly they view Simpson internally. If they had gone in a different direction on draft night, it’s hard to imagine this move happening.
The Rams interest in Myles Garrett was sparked shortly after the Browns modified the contract of the seven-time Pro Bowl defensive end in March, pushing back the options bonuses from the 15th day of the league year in March to seven days before the start of the regular season, making it easier to trade him. And now the trade is happening.

Love this fit.
At No. 22, the Chargers selected Miami DE Akheem Mesidor.

They will try and convince you it’s because of the offense he plays on… Ty Simpson is that dude.

Remember: 75% of the rumors and news you hear during draft week, especially on draft day, is smoke. The things you think you know for sure somehow don’t come true, and vice versa. A few things I expect tonight that might be different from others: 1. I don’t think Makai Lemon lands with the Rams. I’m looking at a potential move up or move back from them. If they stick and pick, Kenyon Sadiq makes a lot of sense. 2. I think Jeremiyah Love makes it past pick No. 3 but will be gone before No. 6. I’m looking for a trade up here. 3. KC Concepcion will be drafted a lot higher than most expect. Be on the lookout for him to possibly leapfrog some of the bigger-name guys. And lastly, I apologize for the inactivity, but we made it to Draft Day 🥂

Love this move from the Eagles. It provides them with the flexibility to trade AJ Brown and not have to force a pick on a WR on Day 1. • DeVonta Smith • Dontayvion Wicks • Hollywood Brown • Day 2 WR • Elijah Moore That’s a WR room you can feel comfortable with next year, especially when you have Saquon Barkley to take a load off the passing game.
ESPN sources: the Green Bay Packers are trading wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick. Wicks will sign a one-year, $12.5 million extension with the Eagles, per his agent @DavidMulugheta.

Love this concept! Here’s who I would pick: Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes is chasing Brady. It would be a travesty if he didn’t win at least one in the next five years. Bears: I love what Ben Johnson brings to the table. He’s smart, energetic, and knows how to get his team fired up. With Caleb Williams at the helm, they seem bound to win one eventually. Broncos: They have a great young core, especially on defense, and they are all locked up for the foreseeable future. With Bo Nix bringing solid quarterback play and enough weapons to move the ball, don’t be shocked if Denver hoists the Lombardi soon. Patriots: They have the best young quarterback in the game in Drake Maye, a great leader (on the field) at head coach in Mike Vrabel, and Boston just has championship blood in its DNA. It would not shock me if they got the job done one of these years. Rams: They currently have the best roster in the game and still have Matthew Stafford for at least one more year. They are my pick to win it all next year.
rules: 1. you wager your life savings (or whatever - just trying to reduce fave team bias) 2. you get to pick 5 NFL teams 3. you have a five year window 4. if one team wins the SB - you 10X your money What teams are you choosing?

Teams I believe could be on the move: • Cardinals ⬇️ • Titans ⬆️ • Browns ⬇️ • Commanders ⬇️ • Chiefs ⬆️ • Dolphins ⬆️ • Cowboys ⬆️ Should be entertaining…
The expectation among many NFL teams is that the 2026 draft will be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory, according to multiple league sources. Specifically, on the defensive side of the ball — EDGE, CB and LB are all strong/deep — while WR is typically considered to be the most talented offensive position. Several executives I’ve spoken with believe we’re likely to see a flurry of activity in the first half of Round 1. Additionally, because this specific draft lacks depth in the later rounds, many teams plan to pursue extra Day 2 and early Day 3 picks, per league sources.

This isn’t ideal for Mauigoa; however, he should still be a lock to be the first tackle off the board. He looked really good in the playoff, even with this injury.
#Miami OT Francis Mauigoa, potentially the top tackle in the Draft, has decided to be at Combine Rechecks on Friday for additional imaging on a minor back issue that caused him some discomfort late in the season, sources say.   Mauigoa started 42 straight games in college, including all 16 this season, and upon full professional consultation is not considered a candidate for immediate surgery. He did perform fully at his Pro Day and currently is symptom-free. But some teams have asked for additional testing on a disc issue and with nothing to hide, Mauigoa heads to Indy.

Really bold draft strategy here from the Jets.
The unconventional way these Jets are approaching the draft: 'If we love the player, we're going to get him' trib.al/HMNB6ME

This draft is so interesting because it feels like there are five guys who have a legitimate shot at going No. 2 (Bain, Tate, Reese, Styles, Bailey). At the same time, it feels like one of those guys could be available at No. 12 for the Dallas Cowboys. 17 more days…🍿

If Arizona sticks at pick No. 3, they should consider Jeremiyah Love. They aren’t good enough even with him to take themselves out of No. 1 pick contention next year. If you can put together a young nucleus of Jeremiyah Love, Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, and Marvin Harrison Jr. for Arch Manning next year, it could get scary real fast in Arizona.
Thank you for actually listening, TB. AZ would like to move back, that’s real. There’s not an OT worthwhile at 3 this yr. Also said I was told there’s someone with a voice in the building that is pushing for RB Love… Went on to explain a few other factors to pay attention to… For those that want to check out the full convo… podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Love this move by the Raiders. According to Schefter, it’s essentially a one-year, $20 million deal, which provides a perfect situation for Fernando Mendoza to sit and learn behind a veteran. Say what you want about Cousins, but he’s a former fourth-round pick who has carved out a long, lucrative career for himself. Mendoza will benefit just by watching his habits and how he prepares for games and the season.
Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.

Mike Washington Jr. | RB Scouting Report Overview Mike Washington Jr. brings the build and mentality of a true workhorse back, combining a thick powerful frame with an aggressive downhill running style that consistently finishes through contact. Strengths 📌 Downhill physical runner who consistently finishes forward. 📌 Decisive hitting lanes with no hesitation. 📌 Presses the line well and maximizes blocking. 📌 Strong burst through the hole and accelerates quickly. 📌 Better than expected lateral agility for his size. 📌 Uses quick stop start and jump cuts to avoid penetration. 📌 Plays with aggression and seeks out contact. 📌 Has enough long speed to generate explosive plays. Play Style Notes Washington Jr. thrives when he can build momentum downhill, putting constant stress on defenders with his physicality while still flashing enough movement ability to avoid early disruption. Projection Early down back with three down upside in a gap or inside zone scheme that values physicality and tempo.
