As I drank in the joyful Puja celebrations across the city of Kolkata, this particular poster plastered by the roadsides was a real shock. Why should this even be permitted even if commerce has lost its conscience?

Early this morning, in a hospital in Howrah, Subani finally succumbed to the cancer that was her battle for more than 5 years.
Though she lost the fight with the disease, she won us forever with her indomitable spirit.
Rest easy dear Subani. Your light will always shine upon us.

Reading with tech in class supported by reading with tech at home. Just 30 mins a few times/week - that's all that is needed to eradicate the curse of illiteracy. Tech can reach every classroom & every child now. Let's not wait anymore!

Over a decade ago I sat through my first ever classroom observation in a tiny rural govt school. I didn't need any further convincing. Today, as tech enables millions of children find a pathway towards reading, I can't wait to see such solutions reach every child, everywhere!

Getting EdTech to the bottom 200M of our students is an absolute must. Technology is a window into the world - apps, the internet. This cannot be the habit of only the privileged. This is the opportunity to equalize at scale & very quickly.

Our children are finally heading back to school!Ed-tech has barely touched 200M students of India's 270M school going children. We must provide interventions that assist in class & empower at home. If we don't act urgently, it will be too late for too many.

Subani, a lovely young person from Jharkhand, is currently a domestic worker in Gurgaon. Recently, she was diagnosed with relapsed Acute Myeloid Leukemia & is undergoing induction chemotherapy at Fortis, Gurgaon. She needs our help to fight this battle!

Best ad ever - straight from the heart of these young students of a government school of #Punjab! It's been terribly difficult for our children - struggling to stay abreast with learning the last 2 years. But there is hope, if we act together & quickly.
