Following a consultation with Dr. Keith Meister today, RHP Spencer Strider will be shut down from throwing for four weeks and then undergo a follow-up MRI. Provided that scan is clear, he will then begin a throwing progression.

Strider’s MRI didn’t show any ligament damage, just inflammation. There aren’t any current concerns about him needing surgery. Today’s visit with Dr. Meister (performed surgery in 2024) will just provide an indication of what the next steps will be. Meister will provide a timetable for recovery. By tomorrow, we’ll have an idea of when Strider could begin throwing again.

Per his Instagram, Damion King commits to JMU.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end posted 72.5 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 18.5 TFLs, three PAT blocks and two forced fumbles as a junior. According to his Twitter, his official visit was this weekend.
