Just awful numbers for the war in Iran: 1) More Republicans call the war a net-negative than a net-positive. 2) Just 39% of Republicans -- and 16% overall -- say we're winning or have won the war.

What's really something here is that Kernan twice cites that idea that ballot drops are going 100% to Democrats. This has been debunked by the local US attorney's office -- i.e. Trump's DOJ -- already. But Clayton just rolls with it.

Maybe because he literally just put an entirely unqualified political hatchet man in charge of the DNI — while we’re at war — and the only reason he could give was that he would look into the “stolen” election bullshit? He’s making hugely important decisions based on a lie. That seems worth paying attention to. He also tried to set up a compensation fund for people who, inspired by his promulgation of that lie, laid siege to the Capitol. Oh and the only legislation he cares about is all wrapped up in his delusions about how elections are stolen. I can keep coming up with reasons. But the fact that the president still thinks his lie should drive policy and personnel (several J6ers work in the administration) that makes it relevant, imho.

This is unhinged. If a family member behaved this way, you'd worry about them. If a CEO behaved like this, the board would meet. He's living in an alternate reality and furious when a person won't indulge his fantasies.

There was a claim circulating on social media about an election night ballot update at the Los Angeles Registrar of Voters where one candidate received zero votes. We reviewed official county records. The claim is false. Each candidate received votes in every update. My office will continue monitoring the election counting process and will follow the evidence wherever it leads. President Trump was convicted of fraud, and has pardoned over 70 people convicted of fraud.

This is wildly false, and it breeds a dangerous level of ignorance and wishful thinking in the American public. We'd have to make some hard choices (including making some very tough trade-offs) to come close to balancing the budget. Saying anything else is irresponsible.

I’ve seen more thorough autopsies from the local coroner’s office. This DNC autopsy report has nothing to do with how to win a race. But if you want a roadmap for how to lose one, it’s probably useful. Winning isn’t as complicated as it looks. Candidates who can appeal to a broad coalition of Democrats and Independents, who know how to communicate why they’re running and why that matters to voters — that was the secret sauce behind Bill Clinton and Barack Obama’s electoral and reelection successes. It was also the formula that helped Nancy Pelosi become Speaker. The last three presidential elections were decided by roughly half a million voters across seven states. We need candidates who know how to win those states and earn the confidence of those swing voters. It’s that simple. And you won't find the combination to that lock in this autopsy report.
