The leaked Gov. Little event footage says the quiet part out loud. “They’re basically here permanently but they’re not citizens.” That line from the leaked Gov. Little event footage explains why Idaho keeps getting blocked on immigration enforcement. Big Ag does not just want seasonal labor. They want a year-round foreign labor pipeline. Idaho voters want E-Verify, enforcement, and no sanctuary policies.
**BREAKING — Idaho governor caught by and independent journalist complaining about outsiders — BUT, then basically acting like he’s a liberal on one of the coasts when it comes to Illegal Immigration. Why? The AG and Dairy lobbies are caught on tape explaining why. Must See 👇👇👇👇👇👇

Interesting analysis by @TimOren54 comparing Big Ag campaign contributions with votes on immigration enforcement in Idaho. The geographic patterns are hard to ignore. The first image shows BigAg donations by legislative district. The second image shows total ‘aye’ votes in the House for immigration enforcement. A pattern worth a look going into the primary.
Data analyst Tim Oren returns with a look at where campaign donations are going in the legislative primary: @TimOren54 gemstatechronicle.com/2026/0…

After publishing the scorecard, we took a closer look at the data, specifically campaign contributions from Big Ag. A pattern emerges. The typical F-rated legislator received around $11,000 in Big Ag money, while the typical A/A legislator received just $125, nearly 90x more. Many of the lowest-performing legislators received some of the highest levels of Big Ag support, while many of the top-performing legislators received little to none. What does that mean? We will let people draw their own conclusions. The scorecard shows how legislators voted. The funding data raises the question, why?

The 2026 Idaho Legislative Scorecard is final. This scorecard doesn’t measure what legislators say. It measures what they do. Every vote was tracked. Every decision counted. How scoring works: • Legislators are scored based on multiple key votes • One vote does not define a record • We measure patterns, not isolated moments Why many Senators are not scored: Most Senators were not given the opportunity to vote on key legislation this session. When there are not enough votes, there is not enough data to fairly evaluate a record. Leadership is held to a higher standard: Leaders are responsible not just for their votes but for what their chamber allows to happen. Bottom line: Idaho voters deserve transparency based on actions, not rhetoric. Full scorecard: idahoimmigrationwatch.org/sc…

Idaho’s economy is strong but leadership means addressing the problems that threaten it. On illegal immigration and illegal labor, that leadership was missing this session, starting at the top.
Idaho’s economy remains the strongest in the nation, and our actions this session position us to continue that record of success.🇺🇸

🚨 Update: The Senate failed to concur with the House amendments to S1247. The bill is dead. It started as a weak Big Ag E-Verify bill. The House strengthened it with 287(g). The Senate chose to kill it rather than accept real enforcement.

🚨 UPDATE: S1247 PASSES HOUSE WITH 287(g) Here’s the reality: S1247 started as a weak, Big Ag backed E-Verify bill. We pushed hard alongside strong House conservatives to turn it into a real E-Verify enforcement bill. Big Ag and Big Construction blocked it. So the House pivoted and added a 287(g) radiator cap instead, with key leadership from Representatives @redmanforidaho and @DaleHawkinsID . If they won’t stop illegal labor at the hiring level, we enforce the law on the ground. That’s what this does. ⚠️ It requires law enforcement to cooperate with ICE and ALLOWS OPT OUTS ONLY WITH A PUBLIC EXPLANATION. That kind of transparency is exactly what the public wants. This is real progress and proof the pressure is working.

🚨 UPDATE The House did not take up General Orders today. That means the E-Verify bill was left on the table, despite a clear path forward. With time remaining, this came down to a decision.

🚨 UPDATE We are being told by multiple legislators that Rep. Pickett, as presiding officer, does not intend to take up General Orders, meaning the E-Verify bill may not be heard. After weeks of debate, and with only TWO DAYS left in session, Idahoans are right to ask: Why wouldn’t this be brought forward with only two days left? After reviewing the House rules, here’s what matters: if the House gets to General Orders, the bill will be heard, and it can still get there. Idahoans have been clear. They want real enforcement. There is still time to do the right thing. We encourage Speaker Moyle to ensure this issue is brought forward and that Idahoans are given the E-Verify policy they’ve been asking for. 📞 Call and email Speaker Moyle tonight and before the House convenes at 10 AM MT Tuesday. Ask him to bring S1247 to General Orders and support real E-Verify enforcement. 📱 (208) 332-1122 ✉️ MMoyle@house.idaho.gov

🚨 UPDATE General Orders were not taken up in the House today, including the E-Verify bill. That means the opportunity to fix and strengthen it did not happen today as scheduled. With only two days left in session, the question is simple: Will it be brought forward and done right?

🚨 Today is the day. The weak E-Verify bill is now on the House floor, where it can be FIXED and moved forward as real, enforceable policy. This is a key moment. We’re watching.

A watered-down E-Verify bill backed by BigAg just moved to General Orders. Here’s why that matters: This bill already passed the Senate in a weakened form. Right now, it falls short of real enforcement. Real E-Verify means: • Most or all employers verify workers • No major carveouts • Real penalties that actually change behavior This version (SB 1247): • Only applies if a business has 150 employees AND a $100k state contract • Leaves most private employers untouched, including major sectors like agriculture and construction • Exempts subcontractors and excludes independent contractors • No fines. No license suspension. Weak, optional penalties In other words, it mostly preserves the status quo while claiming “enforcement.” Now the House has a chance to fix it on the floor. If they do and it passes, it goes straight back to the Senate for concurrence. No committee. No delay. That means each individual Senator has to decide. Real E-Verify or A loophole-filled version that doesn’t stop illegal hiring Either way, they own that vote. Idahoans will see exactly where their Senators stand.

A weak E-Verify bill (S1247) just advanced out of House Business Affairs and was sent to General Orders to be improved. E-Verify is meant to stop illegal labor by requiring employers to verify workers are here legally. This version falls short. Now it heads to the House floor, where it can be fixed or exposed. This is the moment to turn it into real enforcement or prove it was never meant to be. Idahoans are watching.

This is a good step because the bill wasn’t killed, it was advanced to General Orders, which is where it can be improved. That gives lawmakers a real chance to strengthen it into something that actually delivers enforcement.

S1442: Transparency that actually moves the ball. Senate leadership’s accountability bill combines @brian_lenney's S1318 and @DaleHawkinsID's H660 bills - both stalled in Senate committees - adding real visibility into illegal immigration and refugee programs in Idaho. Idaho Immigration Package: Bill 3 of 4 ✔ Requires law enforcement to record immigration status after arrest ✔ Mandates biannual public reporting of that data ✔ Establishes annual audits of refugee resettlement programs ✔ Ties compliance to state funding Strength: real transparency and measurable accountability Limitation: focuses on reporting, not prevention or illegal hiring Verdict: a strong step forward, but not a substitute for enforcement at the source This bill helps Idaho understand the scope of the problem. It does not stop it. Idaho still needs policies that address illegal labor directly, like E-Verify. S1441: A solid step, but not enough. Senate leadership’s 287(g) bill builds on earlier efforts led by @DaleHawkinsID this session, with some tradeoffs. Idaho Immigration Package: Bill 2 of 4 ✔ Requires agencies to apply for 287(g) agreements ✔ Opt-outs must be approved by commissioners or city councils ✔ Formal findings public disclosure required Strength: stronger transparency and political accountability Limitation: participation still depends on local decisions and is not guaranteed Verdict: a meaningful step, but not a substitute for addressing illegal hiring 287(g) meaningfully strengthens enforcement on the back end. It does not address the root issue driving illegal immigration. Idaho still needs policies that actually tackle that, like E-Verify. Full breakdown: idahoimmigrationwatch.org/sb… More bill breakdowns from this package coming throughout the day.

S1440: A step forward, but not the solution. With just days left in the session, Senate leadership is finally moving on immigration after stronger enforcement like E-Verify was left to stall. Here’s the first and one of the more substantive bills. Idaho Immigration Package: Bill 1 of 4 ✔️Creates a tax on international remittances ✔️ Refundable for those legally present ✔️Enforced through audits and license penalties Strength: introduces real financial consequences where today there are none Limitation: exemptions and refunds reduce impact and it does not address illegal hiring Verdict: a meaningful step, but far less substantive than E-Verify If leadership is serious, this should be the starting point, not the fallback. Full breakdown: idahoimmigrationwatch.org/sb… More on the rest of the Senate package throughout the day...
