The Homathko Delta produced many more landslides (blue bites out of the delta lip below) than I had dared to hope for! Including some right below the stationary sonar boat (at the yellow dot). Thanks @royalsociety for enabling this research!

ALT Insights into the causes of turbidity currents. Four main causes of turbidity currents are slope failures (landslides); plunging of hyperpycnal river plumes that are denser than seawater owing to high sediment concentrations; sediment settling from surface river plumes; and oceanographic processes such as storm waves, tides and internal waves that can supply sediment to canyon heads and trigger flows (including through landslides).
