The spotted milestone of a digitigrade bodysuit is officially COMPLETE! The fit checks when even better than I expected. The extention pieces to the leg cuffs make the zipper attached feet so seamless, the front side appliqué method abolished any need for hand sewing.

Just some hand sewing around the face & horns, attaching the neck, installing the zipper, markings trim, face details & the serval will be finished!
Determined to get him finished before the month ends (reminder, I work part-time as I'm a full-time mum!)

Appliqué muzzle spots on the serval! Love this stage where all the puzzle pieces slowly come together!
I'll be taking a bit of a break over the weekend....just for a little thing, getting married to my partner of 14 years 💜

Might be hard to see as I'm at the tape/pattern stage but the reason this commission is taking longer is that my client expressed concerns that the og carve (right) read 'tiger' rather than serval so I went back and altered the muzzle and nose shape to reflect a more serval style

Really happy with these dragon horns for the serval hybrid. He's also had a significant face lift after some constructive discussions with my client hence me taking a bit longer on him. Getting his fur on this week!

I'm happy to show off these slightly pointed ears for the serval dragon commission. I can now finally get the horns installed and work on getting the rest of the face furred!

The reason I keep going...
Sometimes I have hard days in the studio where things aren't going right, you know the days. Sewing machine skipping stitches, a carve not looking right, an unexpected dye bleed... but I always remember, I'm not only doing this for me, but for her too.

fursuit makers, you have GOT to stop giving these random people who don't matter attention when they decide you're too expensive. are people paying your prices ? then your suits are worth that much, period. it doesn't matter what someone who isn't even interested in you says

I thought I was done with the serval/dragon but when I came back in the workshop with fresh eyes, something just didn't feel right. The muzzle was a bit too blocky and the expression was hard to read.
Now he's ready for interior work, then FLUFF

The last piece of the Serval Dragon fullsuit is in full swing! This hybrid is tricky to make both elements of feline and fantasy come together, but all in all, I think it's almost ready for furring!

Geniune q. What makes a fursuit head 'fem'? Ngl usually, the differences I've seen are eyelashes, maybe a pastel/pink eyelid style, long hair? Is it not a little stereotypical that pink/long hair/eyelashes=femininity?
Just a thought, I love fem/masc, ALL fursuit flavours!

All my mesh eyes are handpainted and are completely unique. I like to go for a soft, sweeping, watercolour style.
I use the wonderful eyeblanks from @FarukuCostumes which are high quality prints, really recommend if you're like me and don't 3D print
