Incredibly proud to now be able to go fully public with Splat as the founder. I waited till now to go public because we wanted to gather unbiased feedback on the beta from users. We wanted everything to be organic and fully centered on the project and product itself, not on me as the founder. By going public with this my intention is to give full credibility to this project and seriousness around the team. We have been working on this for 6 months so that we could bring a beta on week one. The full team of devs and advisors are in love with the product and are working on it full time. This is not just a wrapper and its not just a coin, we are building a true LLM trading companion that we envision as something that everyone from beginner to pro will integrate into their daily lives. As most of you know, I always said I wouldnt launch something with my name on it unless I was extremely confident it could change the game. my favorite thing about the whole base situation is how Jesse took 0 accountability for how horribly they launched this ‘on chain’ campaign (if u can call it that), and instead doubled down on “yea and we are gonna keep doing it”. like this was a dumpster fire and they chalked the entire campaign from the get go, and instead of taking accountability and giving any context on what the goal was / plan is- he essentially replied “we are just gonna put everything on chain”. i feel bad for anyone building on base because all this does is devalue and discredit the quality of basically everything on the chain. sure, you can say “everyone will forget in a week”, but again the issue is they don’t seem to have any accountability or care for how poorly this was all executed, and instead basically said it went great and they are gonna keep doing it. unbelievable and honestly just astonished by today.
