In 2009, Kristoffer Koch wrote a thesis on encryption. As research, he spent $27 buying 5,000 Bitcoin. He forgot about it until 2013, sold some and bought an apartment in Oslo. The remaining 4,000 Bitcoin are worth $272M today. Best thesis ever written.

The whole point is not do KYC. CEXs who didn't ask for KYC before should give option to withdraw to users who were allowed to use the platform without KYC before.
