… Oh. Oh dear. Did you not read this link first..? There isn’t even a question about supporting trans people. I don’t think your still-entirely-unlinked Reddit research is going to help you much if this is any indication.

Also, I just compared sample sizes and the Pew survey does not ask enough people to even *match* Yougov, adjusted for population size, so that’s pretty funny. Even if it supported your claim, which it doesn’t, you’d only get to keep it as evidence if you kept Yougov’s, too.

There is no demographic, including “sensible middle-aged liberal ladies”, that is immune to propaganda. Whether they sincerely believe their bigotry is important isn’t actually relevant to whether it *is*.

Further, one might draw some conclusions about why these “middle-aged” women were only bothered about trans people after the Christian right started pouring enormous sums of money into anti-trans propaganda, given trans women were known their entire lives. It’s the propaganda!

Please do write to your MP and ask them to vote against these cuts. “Reform” that impoverishes will never help anyone work, it’ll only cause suffering and death.
The “welfare reform bill” is out and let’s be clear: this is not reform - it is devastating cuts. Disabled people will be made poorer, sicker, and more isolated as a result. That it is a Labour government causing this misery will be a mark of shame on the party for years to come.

Cuts to disability benefits will push 250,000 people into poverty, including 50,000 children. Let that sink in. Disabled people already experience higher levels of poverty compared to non-disabled people. Cuts to benefits will make this worse ✂️ It’s entirely unacceptable.

The government has announced the most devastating cuts to disability benefits on record. These plans should shame the government to its core. Here's our initial response to the new Welfare Green Paper 🧵👇

If you want to write to your Labour MP about disability benefit cuts but have limited spoons, here’s a template from @sensecharity you can use: action.sense.org.uk/page/167… Public backlash *does* work at times so let’s keep the pressure up. You too, non-disabled allies!

The Vagina Museum is just one month away from closing. Forever. A perfect storm of circumstances means that we may have to close our doors permanently and cease all digital activities. But we're not going to go down without a fight. Save the Vagina Museum. gofundme.com/f/btscc2

Can confirm that this is insanely stressful and scary.
Disabled women have warned MPs that the continuing process to move them onto universal credit from their existing benefits is risking their health and putting them at threat of destitution. buff.ly/4jBwz4o

Zoning back in because: The Rossi’s have long been pillars of the online gaming community and they’re having an extremely rough time: Vision loss, severe cardiac problems, cancer, and now their furnace has died. They’re fundraising to replace it. gofundme.com/f/help-with-med…

This seems like a decent thing to maybe go out on, Twitter-wise. Am in the process of moving over to the place with the skies of blue, feel free to follow me over there, same username.
Replying to @gothspiderbitch
I would infinitely prefer it if, just in general, people stopped competitively insulting other food cultures. Just… sigh.

Mutuals who wish to stay that way: Do feel free to say hi and speed things up for me!
I have finally made an account over at the cobalt atmosphere place, same username because I’ve been using this one for a long time and hopefully people will remember who I am if I keep going. :p It’s going to take me weeks to get through adding people from here, sigh.

Happy Anniversary to the Underpinnings Museum!!! This is literally my favorite museum in the world, and it's 100% free and digital! If you enjoy their work, want to support them, or just like to look at pretty things, buy one of their exhibition catalogs! etsy.com/shop/underpinningsm…

People love means-testing because they get to feel like they’re taking something away from those who don’t deserve it. They don’t like to think about what happens to the people who need it if the cut-off is in the wrong place or who fall through the cracks. That bit isn’t fun.

What is even the point of Labour if they’re just Tories in red, complete with all the same problems with cruelty and corruption? This needs to change.
No Labour government should be spending their rare moments in power flagging benefit fraud. Benefit rates in this country are so low that many claimants can’t afford food, utilities or rent. That’s the story. If a Labour PM can’t be trusted to know that, something is very wrong.
