Cracking the codes of the viral and parasitic side of consciousness using Jungian and Integral theory. This is a recapitulation of the ideas Melissa Mari and I wrote about in Shadow Tech in 2015. It covertly influences us at every level of organization, from the individual psyche and body, to intimate relationships and families, on up to large-scale social institutions. It acts with apparent agency and pushes continually on every area of weakness to proliferate and grow. This parasitic profile in human consciousness presents itself through autonomous complexes of the psyche that possess us like demons. It riddles our bodies and minds with diseases and syndromes, addictions, pathological personality disorders, ideological possession, and deep state institutional capture among many other expressions. All are evidence of the same underlying parasitic phenomenon. Although this situation falls under the general category of the Jungian shadow, this is not just the result of ego related shadow material being projected onto enemies and scapegoats, but an active viral and parasitic dimension that is taking advantage of our inability to see and mitigate its influence. The human psyche is a living ecosystem in which mutualism is the healthy default. When that mutualism breaks down due to trauma or fails by any cause, orphaned subsystems become autonomous entities (holons), pursuing their own subjective good at the expense of the larger whole - which is the structural definition of parasitism. The active destructive principle that animates this dynamic is archetypal in nature. Melissa Mari and I called it “the Archetype of the Virus”, and it expresses itself through whatever substrate gives way to it, at every scale, from the individual to the civilizational. This paper proposes that bringing this domain into clear awareness is one of the central tasks of our present moment. Carl Jung and Erich Neumann’s proposed remedy was a New Ethic of shadow-aware life and conscious inner development called Individuation, which is itself a robust anti-viral protocol available to us. It is also a path by which the sacred dimension of human existence can be recovered in our fracturing postmodern environment. Humans who consciously individuate, making shadow work and shadow aware life their sacred duty, develop immunity to this destructive parasitic property in human consciousness."

An individual, or a society, possessed by the Warrior archetype is destined for chaos, misery and death. Like fire, the Warrior must be handled very carefully and implemented with wisdom. The same can be said of the Lover, as Eros and Agape, but which expresses its shadow side differently. But the Lover is the water that cools or puts out the fire of the Warrior when it gets out of control. When the Warrior and the Lover can be brought together, in balance you have the best of both worlds and you have a psyche, a relationship, a society that can reach its potential. Some of us come into this world with a genetic and familial propensity that enables the balance of these two inner energies. Most of us dont. We have to work at it. The most important time to do this is in midlife. Men and women who fall to one side or the other in early life are challenged with the task in later life of bringing the opposite energy into themselves and learning to burn a new kind of fuel. We are not taught this. We are in a very immature and self destructive era. Those who will seek out and implement the practices of inner maturation are at the cutting edge of human evolution. Those who dont are just feeding the fire that is burning it all down. 🔥👹

Connecting young people to digital networks serves no purpose if they remain disconnected from themselves, others, and their own interiority. We must help young people rediscover silence, reflection, the ability to ask questions, the depth of relationships, and openness to transcendence. To listen to the soul, we must lend an ear, because the soul's voice is not a shout, but a whisper.

Morrissey in rare interview: “Diversity means conformity.” He says the word has become toxic - it doesn’t create variety, it boxes everyone in and erases real cultural differences. Music industry now bloodless: drop artists instantly if they don’t go platinum immediately. No time to develop. “Diversity… is a dreadful word. Pin it to anything and that situation is finished.” He speaks about homogeneity and how it’s important.

What you're dealing with is an "autonomous complex" in psychological terms. Its a multi national, multi cultural, collective unconscious parasite that has its own operating system, its own ethics and worldview. This particular complex is a product of unmetabolized aggression or "warrior" energy in the psyches of those who belong to it and who are susceptible to its influence. After it sucks you dry and kills you, it will then try to get into any other society that is susceptible. These psychic parasites are not particular to Jews, Christians or any cultural or ethnic group. They are a function of the collective psyche of mankind and you see similar autonomous complexes operating all over the planet in different ethnic environments. The solution is psychological. But because we are deathly afraid of our own shadows and are psychologically illiterate as a people, we are ripe for these parasites. But for those who have the capacity, the actual solution is when a human forms a balanced relationship with their aggression, rage and control drives and develops a psycho-spiritual practice that allows this energy to come into consciousness and then be displaced by activities and lifestyle that use the energy productively and with continual conscious awareness. Basically the solution is what Jungians call shadow work and living a shadow aware life. But as long as the society stays unaware of how this works psychologically, they will remain totally susceptible and these large scale parasites will continue to develop and destroy.

My advice to the "red pilled" asking what they should do.

To understand the nature of human destructiveness at a more sophisticated level than God/Devil or good/evil, Jungian psychology gives us an incredible, evolutionary lens. We start with the recognition that the civilized, loving, creative and cooperative capacities in the psyche are like an island on a deep dark ocean of ancient, primal and chaotic potential. The conscious ego is just a slice of the psyche and is protected by a permeable membrane we could say. This is the basic idea of the split between conscious and unconscious. Then we bring in the shadow. The shadow is everything in the unconscious that is so reprehensible to our consciousness that the ego membrane will not let it in. In the shadow is our primal rage and aggression, control drives, base sexuality and all the so called "negative" states of consciousness like grief, envy, fear and the emotional residue from childhood and ancestral trauma. All of this material is caustic to the ego and to the organized societies that the ego has created. So it keeps the shadow repressed where it grows underwater. Then humans use a simple psychological method to offload this shadow energy called projection. They see their own shadow in others. Then they can blame them or take action against them and not have to feel the sheer destructive weight of metabolizing their own shadow. And so we run around blaming and demonizing each other in manic denial of our own shadows. We do it as individuals and in groups, tribes and nations. And this is where we are as a species. And on top of this, when the human doesn't consciously metabolize their shadow, it gets used by "autonomous complexes" within the psyche that feed on it and direct our behavior in ways to continue to produce more shadow energy. We grow psychic parasites you might say. These parasites issue ideas into our minds and direct us into behavior to keep the inner "deep state" going. Then psychopaths emerge on the world stage externally to show us an outer reflection of whats going on inside. And this is where we are as a species. The first step towards evolution is becoming aware of how this works and getting involved as an observer of your own deep state activity. The next step is conscious metabolization of your own shadow energy known as "shadow work". Then it is to teach this to others. Most people wont do this work until the last minute because its hard and takes a long time. This is why civilizations have to collapse but evolution does take place through individuals. Some individuals, pushed to the limit will take a quantum leap into the direction of increasing novelty or negentropy we could say and what those individuals become eventually gets shared with the species and we all evolve. Most Americans, especially boomers and middle America don’t understand and know who the Iranians (Persians) are. Who we are threatening to bomb and destroy their way of life. Stop watching Fox News & get some culture.

Not only are we seeing a huge amount of classical shadow material moving through the public (rage, aggression, sexuality, grief, apathy, etc) Plus the shameless narcissism we have been seeing for decades, but we are seeing massive levels of raw grandiosity. So many people with huge inflated egos who are just spewing self aggrandizing slop everywhere. Of course the leader of the USA is the highest example of this but its just everywhere now. And its compensatory grandiosity. Its a compensation for feelings of low self worth. Its a trauma symptom. And its epidemic. And there is a particular version of this that I have been seeing recently in young men. Men who are naturally smart but with little life experience who compulsively blast their smart guy attitude all over everyone who comes their way. There are even young men who study psychology with this illness who should have self awareness of their behavior but dont. And what I am describing here is just one pathological profile of many that are rampant in America. We are a huge mess. Theres no coming back from this. We are going down.

To the red pilled crowd. To understand the shadow side of reality that is overtaking our collective consciousness, you need to use a psychological frame, especially a Jungian one because only Jungian psychology has a robust and multi level understanding of evil and its sources in the human psyche. What we are seeing is the Jungian "shadow" - our dark, primal animalistic and antisocial drives - leaking out of individuals and collectivizing through groups. Humans always have a shadow. As we have become more civilized and "proper" our base energies have had to be repressed into the unconscious. Then to offload them we engage in wars and every kind of dark behavior, but we do it under the table or with fake cover stories to try to rationalize it. Add to that a healthy dose of denial, cognitive dissonance and continual distraction and you have generated a giant shadow "swamp" or "deep state". Eventually your strategies to deny or displace this energy reach their limits and now you have a population that is sado-masochistically destroying itself. Some of this shadow energy gets sadistically thrown onto others and some of it gets masochistically turned onto ourselves. We become suicide bombers. Thats what happens to all civilizations that dont get wrecked by disease or invaders before they implode. We have not evolved enough yet as a species to figure out how to process our own internal psychological entropy without reckless displacement or inward self destructiveness. Many Jungians have been warning of this for decades but the public and the mainstream intelligencia have totally ignored them. And now here we are in another mass conflagration of our own collective making. Yes, there are psychopathic groups and mafias that are the actual arsonists, but collectively we have empowered them. We all have our own personal shadow or so-called evil within that we each have not learned to work with and integrate. For me personally, I have taken on this responsibility and have been doing the shadow work on myself in within my relationships for many years. I have two books out on the subject and a podcast and I put this kind of material out there, but I run into the same problem the Jungians did. Very few want to hear it. Its so much easier to scapegoat and blame than it is to step up to this higher consciousness way of being and living.
