My new coding workflow as an ex-PM: 1. Have an idea for a feature in mind 2. Write that in the Cursor chat box in a scrappy format 3. Ask Claude-3.7-thinking to plan for the feature, write a complete design docs without a single line of code (continue in next thread...)

Reminds me of the science fiction Flowers for Algernon. Someone went from IQ50 to IQ150 and back to IQ50. Highly recommended.

GPT-1 when asked “What would you say if you could talk to a future OpenAI model?” There’s something beautiful about this

Couldn’t find subtitles for anime and foreign dramas, and every AI tool wanted me to upload huge video files. 😩 Try this: Submarine Player—a Mac video player that generates subtitles as you watch, fully offline.
🎥 Ever wish any video had subtitles—even when they don’t exist? Submarine Player generates subtitles in real time as you watch, fully offline. No uploads. No privacy risks.

Why it is so difficult to find a Offline-first database that supports syncing with Suapbase or Firebase out of the box? I'm getting very frustrated about this 😡

This was wrong. Ideally, it’s: 1 designer who codes 1 engineer with taste

The right team to ship quickly: 1 design engineer (formerly: designer) 1 product engineer (formerly: PM) 1 systems engineer (formerly: engineer)

This chart doesn’t reflect actual age — it assumes a human has 45 “prime years” of high cognitive output. The bright squares are what’s left: the years where focus, decision-making, and creativity are still compounding. Not as many as you’d think. AI is accelerating. Our time isn’t. Recognizing this isn’t about panic — it’s about clarity. How will you use the squares you have left?

Spent an hour battling a coding issue with Claude 3.7. Finally gave Gemini 2.5 Pro a try — it one-shot the problem. Humbling.

Daytime is for vibe coding. Nighttime is for vibe marketing. Build in flow, sell with soul.

Vibe coding puts you in flow — hours disappear, ideas click, you feel unstoppable. Vibe marketing pulls you out of flow — constant context-switching, dopamine loops, checking stats every 10 minutes. Building is meditation. Promoting is anxiety. How do you manage the switch between the two?

I believe local AI apps have huge potential in the future: No recurring costs, offline-first, and privacy by design. They’re like the new generation of indie software—buy once, use forever. In a world growing tired of the cloud, local AI might be the real “Web3.” Would you pay for an AI app that runs entirely offline and keeps your data private?

Smart people don’t bet on when something will happen. They bet on things that will inevitably happen—just not evenly distributed yet. Take Jensen Huang. Back when GPUs were mostly for gamers, he was already all-in on the future of compute. He didn’t chase trends—he bet on physics. Moore’s Law slowing down meant the world would need parallel compute. AI was just the first killer app. He didn’t predict the future. He built the toll booth on a road everyone eventually had to take. What’s one “inevitable future” you’re quietly positioning for?

Little trick for debugging in vibe coding: You’re stuck on a bug, spiraling down a rabbit hole. The AI code bloats. What do you do? Just keep going. Let the mess happen. Eventually, you’ll fix the bug. Now ask Claude: “What was the root cause? What actually fixed it?” Copy the summary. Rewind to the original code. Paste the summary and say: “Future you says this was the issue and the fix. Now fix the bug with minimal code changes.” Boom — clean bug fix.
