Are you liking @github's new Discussions feature? Well, you're going to love it even more, now that there's a badge for it! For example: img.shields.io/github/discus…
Thanks to @prafful_javare for his contribution! 🙏
Thanks to @tarun7singh who contributed two new YouTube badges displaying channel subscriber and view counts! Also thanks to the @YouTube team for recently granting us a quota increase for their API! 🙏
Know how we proudly advertise our service as "no tracking" on our website? We're now one step closer to fully keeping that promise. Thanks to @SISheogorath, our homepage no longer makes third party requests to Google Fonts!
Quick heads up: our @github milestone and @dependabot badges no longer have embedded hyperlinks by default. Unless you use the badge in an <object> HTML tag, you should be unaffected. Otherwise simply add a 'link' query param as explained in our shields.io homepage!
If you host your own instance of Shields, please be aware that we're dropping support for configuration specified inside .env files. Instead, you'll need to either use good old environment variables or a config/local.yml file, as documented here: github.com/badges/shields/bl…
We now support version badges for Scoop, the popular command-line installer for Windows!
E.g. img.shields.io/scoop/v/ngrok
Thanks to @0xced for the initial contribution and @_Pyves for helping land things! 🎉
Big thanks to @masonsciotti and @notnotnight! I recently worked with them on improving the @discord integration with @Shields_io, they were both very helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work! 👏
Quite a lot of developers use video platforms to share tutorials, presentations, coding sessions, etc. We now have a @YouTube badge for you! Check it out!

The @Shields_io documentation is one of the best I have seen. A README with clear instructions on how to start working on the project, contributing guidelines pointing to a tutorial, coding guidelines and even a high-level code walkthrough. Everything I needed and more, bravo!
Notice anything different since Sunday? We've migrated the service to @heroku, and it's blazingly fast! Thanks a ton for their support! 🙏

We've just published an important security fix for self-hosting users. If you host your own instance of Shields, upgrade now. Users of shields.io are unaffected. If you know of anyone self-hosting Shields, please spread the word!
