I did tell some people that some features/changes they requested would be in this release but they didn’t make it unfortunately; didn’t have much capacity so I shipped what I had ready

↕️ Arrow keys scrolling with Space HJKL/IJKL ( Cmd to scroll)

Deep menu items are easier to differentiate now, with the path moved below the label. All element results now show their context, making it easier to find what you want
There is a bug where Shortcat may not behave as expected when running in a non-English environment. There’ll be a fix for this in the next update (soon!)
🚀 v0.10.2 out! Cmd Num now clicks/actions instead of selecting, ability to refine searches by typing hints, improved compatibility with window managers, and more!

Shortcat v0.10.1 out!
* [Tab] now alternates panel positioning when showing within the target window
* Performance improvements by skipping Bookmarks, Recent Items, and History
* Emoji insertion reliability
* Cap indexing time to deal with slow apps
* and more
Shortcat can be slow when used in apps with large menu trees, e.g. Bookmarks in browsers. These menus will be ignored in the next update, at least for English systems as there is no easy way to ignore a menu for all languages at this stage
Shortcat even works on iOS apps, whether from the App Store or in the Simulator! I haven’t spent a lot of time on this so label indexing needs some work. Let me know what iOS apps you use on your Mac x.com/chendo/status/15549705…
Bingo! If you can’t operate an app with @shortcatapp, it’s likely got a broken or missing Accessibility implementation.
Shortcat has workarounds for common AX mistakes (like “quirks mode”, but I’ll be adding a “strict mode” to help devs find AX issues with their apps.
