Glad to share my undergraduate student's work published in a journal. If there is a day when we want to build parts on Mars, we should consider manufacturing in Martian Atmospheric Environments. Here is a brief proof-of-concept study.

A small exploration of metal additive manufacturing in a CO2 environment, simulating the Martian atmosphere. Completed by my undergraduate student. arxiv.org/abs/2601.04232
Considering hiring a master's research assistant in the fall of 2025. With a background in MD simulation or laser micro/nano-manufacturing. I can take students either in ME or MSE. Background in robot design, fabrication, and control can also be considered.
Call for papers!!! I am guest editing a special issue: "Fiber photonics, electronics, and robotics: from materials, fabrication to devices" in the journal @iScience_CP, together with Larissa Shepherd and Vanessa Sanchez @avanessasanchez ! Please consider submitting your paper.
