“Congrats, You’re a Curator” is an original lecture given by @zanekindness at FWB FEST25. The “creator” is gauche, the “creative” isn’t far behind, and nobody knows how to make art anymore. Now what? A new perspective on curation, cultural infrastructure, and the mythology around what it means to be creative in 2025. Zane Kind, a Stanford graduate who studied 1960s counterculture's influence on tech, is CEO and cofounder of @silknode a microblogging platform for media curation. Based in New York, he aims to reshape internet infrastructure for taste and creativity. He met his cofounder Greg Wolff at FEST22 and has attended annually since.
