This was my first “fancy “ book. I had forgotten it was signed as a gift by my dad and step mom. I guess they gave it to me for Christmas back in 1982.

It has been a long time since I read this trilogy. But I remember it as a great Space opera .

The Broken Room is a book by Peter Clines, the author of the Ex-Hero’s books and the Fold/14 books. The Broken Room is a stand alone book , but it has some Easter eggs from Fold and 14.

Blacklight is an independent published RPG using the Shadowdark system by The Scrying Dutchman. It is set in the modern world dealing with strange and occult horrors. Think SCP foundation or Delta Green, but dealing with the units that kick down the doors.

13 Bullets. A Vampire book that I think has the right idea about Vampires. They have teeth like a shark.

I read the book of The Keep before I knew of the movie. I liked the book and what he did with the “Vampire” myth.

Switching it up today, a sci-fi GMles RPG. Cosmic Patrol. It is a narrative game where each of the players take turns creating the narrative. It has several “modules” in the book, as well as pre generated characters and villains. It does have stats and a dice mechanic so it is not just a cooperative story. The game has a 50s feel to it like Flash Gordon.

Want a Fantasy game that’s different than other D20 systems? There is Horde Wars Advanced. A d12 system. Outside a classless system, the game makes your character unique. Using the careers each player chooses two, out of a list of over 50, creating different combinations.

ooops, I accidentally posted to a person named aphasia. Reposting with a hashtag instead. For anybody out there dealing with #Aphasia, a friend came over and we played the game Tapple. We ended up stoping the timer and just going through the different letters. The cards gave me something to work on finding words. If word finding is something you are struggling with, think about checking it out.

The Blade itself and the First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie is a pretty good series of books.
