Congratulations to @Morpho team. Midnight enables fixed rate loans and very bespoke lending terms. Big unlock compared typical DeFi. Will be very impactful for BTC-backed loans.
The Morpho Midnight code base is now public github.com/morpho-org/midnig…

unpopular opinion: we’re about to enter a golden era of safe DeFi cost of superhuman audits, fuzzing, formal analysis & verification are rapidly collapsing it’s wild
PSA: I now consider *all* of DeFi unsafe. Coding agents are superhuman at finding vulnerabilities, and smart contract security is too asymmetric: defenders need to fix every bug while attackers need just one exploit to steal funds.

CRQC is an important enough risk to warrant more attention & resources now we’ll do our part at @AlpenLabs to ensure bitcoiners will have options most critically: any collective action for handling satoshi-era vulnerable coins must not violate bitcoin’s core principles.
My take on Bitcoin and quantum computing: nehanarula.org/2026/04/03/bi… tl;dr: I think the risk is high enough to warrant prioritizing designing, implementing, and evaluating post-quantum signature schemes and consensus upgrades in Bitcoin now.

garbling-based protocols reduced on-chain data overhead by 2-3 orders of magnitude compared to bitvm2 but they introduced more off-chain data/compute overhead there’s been an explosion of papers in last few months that have reduced off-chain costs from ~50 GB now to ~500 KB 🀯
