The repo's been quiet because it was private. Today: SIMD Agent is open source. 🧡 what it does why we're doing this github.com/simd-ai/agent

3/ You describe the physics: "compressible flow through this Z-bend at 500 K, walls at 600 K, k-omega SST". You drop in a mesh (.msh). The agent picks the solver, sets up schemes, infers BCs from patch names, runs the case, streams residuals back. Self-heals on solver error.

4/ Built on @openfoam , @GoogleAI 3.5 Flash 3.1 Pro, and a stubborn conviction that simulation should be a paragraph of intent. If you've been waiting to see the code, it's here: github.com/simd-ai/agent PRs, harsh critique, and "did you consider X" all welcome.

Announcing Shape v2: a self-supervised 3D geometry foundation model for industrial CAD 🧊 Trained on 61,052 CAD meshes (Thingi10K MFCAD Fusion360) with masked-token reconstruction contrastive learning. Try it live β†’ shape.simd.space Blog β†’ simd.space/blog/shape-founda…

How it works: we treat latent tokens like LLM tokens. Mask 50% of the mesh's geometry, predict the rest from surrounding context. Results on held-out val (N = 2,983): β†’ RΒ² = 0.729 (reconstruction) β†’ 98.1% top-1 contrastive retrieval β†’ train/val gap β‰ˆ 0 Weights: huggingface.co/bayang/shape-… Thanks to @wandb for the tracking.

Every prediction comes with a per-token attribution heatmap, because in industrial engineering, "trust me, the model said so" isn't acceptable. v2 is 10M params. Medium (~300M) and large (~1B) are next. Code: github.com/simd-ai/shape-v2

We shipped 30 changes to SIMD Agent this week, all driven by real tester feedback. They said the wizard had too many steps, we cut it from 3 to 2. They said switching between chat and simulation was confusing, we made it seamless. They said the UI felt slow, we eliminated every loading screen.

Every commit tagged "feedback" in our dev-updates discord, came from watching someone use the product and fixing what slowed them down. Try it β†’ agent.simd.space

March surprise: SIMD Agent is now free for 2D simulations. No subscription. No catch. Just upload your mesh and run. Solver selection, boundary conditions, and convergence tracking. The AI agent handles it. Go run something: agent.simd.space

We just published the first documentation for the SIMD Agent. Describe your CFD sims in plain language, upload a mesh, and the agent handles everything: solver selection, boundary conditions, case file generation, and live convergence monitoring. Docs: simd.space/docs

5/ This is the key to making SIMD's agent fully autonomous. Upload a CAD file β†’ the agent understands the geometry β†’ detects symmetry β†’ reduces the domain β†’ meshes it β†’ simulates it β†’ maps results back to the full geometry. No manual setup.
